Which is the practical point. Toyota have built the 70 Series continuously since 1984 and still sell it in Australia and Africa, because nothing else does the job. It is a working vehicle first and a lifestyle vehicle a distant second.

That shapes what you should put on this bracket. Nobody is fitting a carbon racing shell to a troop carrier. What they want is a seat that holds them over a long day and survives being climbed into with muddy boots.

Trim before shell

Neoprene handles dust, water and daily abuse and can be hosed down. Velour absorbs everything and never recovers. On a J70 that is a bigger decision than which brand you choose.

Practical

These have worked. Get the mat up and look at the metal round the mounting points before you spend.
