A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Scion tC, 2011 to 2016. Part number SB156.
The second generation tC. Scion was Toyota’s North American youth badge, so a UK car means an import and the parts supply reflects that. The 2005 to 2010 car takes SB084 and the two do not interchange.
Why a bolt in bracket earns its keep here
Because almost nothing else for this car is easy to find in this country. A bracket that picks up the factory mounting points needs no measuring, no fabrication and no specialist, which on an import with a thin parts supply is worth more than the part itself costs.
What the car actually is
A front wheel drive coupe on Toyota’s mainstream underpinnings, with the 2AR four cylinder. Not fast, and that is rather the point: they are cheap, they are reliable, and they are a sensible first car to build for track days where cost per lap matters more than lap time. The standard seat is the first thing that stops being adequate.
Before anything comes out
Side airbags and occupancy sensing are fitted. Tell us the specification and we will talk through what needs doing.
Handed, so order twice for a pair.
