The 991 in two halves
Gen 1 cars to 2015 are naturally aspirated; from 2016 the standard Carrera went turbocharged. Alongside that, the 991 was the first 911 with electric power steering, which changed the feel of the car considerably and divided opinion at the time.
That matters here more than it sounds: with less coming through the wheel, what you feel through the seat becomes proportionally more important.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
