A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Mitsubishi Eclipse, 1989 to 1994. Part number SB048.

The first generation, and one of three closely related cars: Mitsubishi built it alongside the Eagle Talon and the Plymouth Laser at the same plant on the same floor. If you have a Talon or a Laser of these years, this is your bracket and we will confirm it against the chassis number.

The GSX is the one

Turbocharged 4G63 with four wheel drive, which is the same engine family that went on to power the Lancer Evo. That is why these still have a following and why people are still building them thirty five years on, when the ordinary naturally aspirated cars have largely gone.

Related part numbers

This base number also appears on a second listing under SB048-5071. Later generations take entirely different parts: 1995 to 1999 is SB236, 2000 to 2005 is SB118 and 2006 to 2012 is SB105. Order on the years.

Practical

Parts for these are getting scarce, so keep the original seats whole. Check the metal round the mounting points with the carpet up before you spend anything.

Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Mitsubishi Eclipe. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
