Keep the originals
This mount bolts to the factory seat mounting points, so the standard M2 seats come out whole and go back in when the car is sold. On a car where the seats are part of the value, that is worth more than the mount costs.
Slider or adjustable
This is the slider, so the seat moves fore and aft once fitted. In an M2, which most owners still drive on the road, that is usually the right call.
PCI’s S1 slider bolts to the base with four bolts rather than the two a conventional slider uses, which they describe as twice as strong. With a six point harness loading the seat rather than a seatbelt, that is where you want to be.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, with the bends placed to add stiffness rather than using thicker metal throughout. Gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, five and six point sub belt mounting locations built into the mount, which saves fabricating a crotch strap anchor.
