Astra generations do not share floor mounting points, so confirm which one you have before ordering. The Mk5 takes a different frame entirely. Send us the registration if you are at all unsure and we will check it.
Why people fit a seat to this car
The Mk4 Astra has been a staple of UK club motorsport for two decades, largely because they are cheap and there are plenty of them. The cars that get used hard are almost never running the standard seats, which are soft and let you slide about under load.
That is the usual reason for a frame like this: not lap time, but being held in one place so you can drive consistently for twenty minutes.
The bolt patterns
Two of them, because the flat plates carry multi-hole clusters at each corner. 345mm by 271mm is the spacing Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats use. 405mm by 290mm is Recaro.
So an OMP frame will take a Recaro where a Sparco frame will not, which widens what you can put in the car considerably.
Fitting and ordering
Steel, base mount, bolting to the mounting points already in the floor. Nothing is drilled and the original seats come out whole, which matters when the car is sold.
Sold singly and handed. Choose RHD driver or RHD passenger, and order twice for a pair, or take the two frame listing. A side mount shell needs side mounts or adaption bars over the frame.
