An OMP direct fit subframe for the Seat Ibiza Mk2, the 6K. Part number HC780. The 6K ran from 1993 to 2002.
Check the floor before you spend anything
Twenty five to thirty years old and built to a price. Lift the carpet and look at the metal around the seat mounting points before you order.
A frame is only as good as what it bolts to, and on a car of this age the mounting area is where the rot goes unnoticed because nobody looks under the carpet. Worth ten minutes now.
The Cupra, and the rally record
The 6K Cupra with the 2.0 16v is the version people build, and there is genuine history behind it: Seat won the World Rally Championship 2 litre class with the 6K three years running.
It is also a light car, which shapes the seat choice. Adding a heavy steel framed shell works against the thing that makes it good, so a lighter seat earns its price here rather than being an indulgence.
What else takes this frame
The 6K shares its platform with the VW Polo Mk3 and the Seat Cordoba. If you have one of those, send us the registration and we will check whether this frame suits it.
The Mk3 Ibiza, the 6L, takes HC814 instead, so check which you have before ordering. More widely the HC780 stem covers the Golf Mk4, Golf Mk3, Bora, Audi A3 8L, Leon Mk1, Lupo GTI and Polo Mk2.
Tell us your height
These are not large inside. The frame will fit; whether the shell does is the real question, so measure between the tunnel and the sill and tell us how tall you are before choosing a seat.
The detail
Steel, base mount, on the mounting points already in the floor, so nothing is drilled and the originals come out whole.
Two bolt patterns: 345mm by 271mm for Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats, and 405mm by 290mm for Recaro. Sold singly and handed, so order twice for a pair. A side mount shell needs side mounts or adaption bars over the frame.
