The Suzuka T is their most accomplished all round competition seat, and this is it with a tartan centre and the FIA homologation intact. Period looks without giving up the approval, which is a combination most period trims cannot offer.

What makes the Suzuka the popular one

Ultra low split cushioning, which drops your hip point and splits the support so the cushion works with your legs rather than under them. A two stage leg cushion carries that through the thigh, and integrated wear patches protect the edges where a competition seat goes first.

At 9kg it is the lightest of the three shells, 1.3kg under the Imola. Its 490mm base is 15mm wider, which means slightly less grip on your lower body: that is the trade for the lighter shell.

900mm tall, 590mm wide, 730mm deep. Side mount only. Harness facility for 4, 5 and 6 point belts. HANS compatible. High tensile mounting bolts supplied. Three year warranty.

All heights, 32 to 36 inch waist. The GT version is 30mm wider at 36 to 38 inches.

Choosing between the three shells

Cobra build three side mount competition shells and they differ where it matters, at the base and on the scales.

The Imola is 900mm tall on a 475mm base at 10.3kg, the narrowest base and so the snuggest lower hold. The Suzuka T is 900mm on a 490mm base at 9kg, the lightest of the three, and those extra 15mm mean a little less grip on your lower body. The Evolution is 935mm on a 500mm base at 12.2kg, the tallest and the widest based.

So it is a genuine choice rather than a ladder: snug and heavier, light and slightly looser, or tall and wide. Send us your height, your waist over your race kit, and the width between the sill and the tunnel, and we will tell you which one actually fits.

Will I fit in this seat?

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK

Each seat is built to the specification you choose, which is why the wait is what it is: on average around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the trim and options.

Cobra do not allow queue jumping. Orders are produced in the order they are received, so the earlier yours is placed the earlier it is built.

Made to your specification

Because each seat is made for your order rather than picked off a shelf, a made-to-specification seat cannot be cancelled once it is in production, and our special order terms apply.

Working to a date, or not sure which trim to pick? Ring us before you order. Getting the specification right at the start is far easier than changing it later.
