The Cobra Roadster XL in tartan, the taller variant in the Roadster family. Part number Cobra Roadster XL-Tartan.

The XL shell is 580mm tall, 525mm wide, 460mm base, 600mm deep. Weight 8kg. Taller than the SS (550mm) and SR (570mm), and wider than the SR (490mm) but narrower than the SS (540mm).

The 600mm depth is the shallowest in the Roadster family. Against the SS at 740mm and the SR at 700mm, the XL suits installations where footwell depth is limited. The 580mm back height adds some shoulder-level containment over the SS without going to a full-height bucket.

Trim is tartan with vinyl, black stitching. Eight tartan patterns: Blair Ancient, Boyd Modern, Earl of St Andrews, MacFarlane Clan Ancient, MacKenzie Dress Modern, MacMillan Old Modern, Stewart Dress Modern, and Weir Ancient. Made to order, four to six weeks. Driver or passenger side at checkout. Base mount, 291mm bolt pattern. No FIA approval. All heights and waist sizes. Seat only.

The XL Plus (227516) lists the same shell dimensions at the same price. If the specific difference between XL and XL Plus matters, ask before ordering.

Each seat is built to the specification you choose, which is why the wait is what it is: on average around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the trim and options.

Cobra do not allow queue jumping. Orders are produced in the order they are received, so the earlier yours is placed the earlier it is built.

Because each seat is made for your order rather than picked off a shelf, a made-to-specification seat cannot be cancelled once it is in production, and our special order terms apply.
