Why an OMP frame
It carries two bolt patterns. The 345mm by 271mm spacing used by Sparco, OMP and Corbeau seats, and the wider 405mm by 290mm Recaro pattern, because the flat plates have multi-hole clusters at each corner. An OMP frame accepts a Recaro where a Sparco frame will not.
In a small car that widens the pool of shells you can realistically fit, which genuinely helps when cabin width rather than mounting is what rules a seat out.
Fitment

Side mount competition shells need side mounts or adaption bars over the frame.
