New Tillett B10 Seat For 2023

New seat, December 2022

A new Tillett seat is joining our online range for 2023: the B10. It is developed from Tillett's popular B6, with one change that makes a big difference in a road car. The sides are lower, so you can use the standard road seatbelt as well as a race harness.

It is also very light, at 4.5kg, and it comes in GRP or in carbon and GRP. The B10 is open for pre-order now, and more options will follow in the new year.

  • Takes a race harness too
  • Weighs 4.5kg
  • In GRP or carbon and GRP, with twin skin construction
  • Open for pre-order, with more options due in the new year

What makes the B10 different

The B6 is a race shape, and its high sides suit a harness. On the B10, Tillett has lowered the side supports so a driver can comfortably use the car’s standard road belt as an option. That is often what stops people fitting a proper bucket seat to a car they drive on the road. The B10 still takes a race harness when you want one.

It is light too. At 4.5kg, the B10 saves a useful amount of weight over a typical road seat.

The B10 comes in GRP, or in a carbon and GRP composite. Like the rest of the Tillett range it has a strong, rigid twin skin construction, and it is very good at getting the driver as low as possible in the car.

Garreth's advice is to call us if you want one for next year. We can take your pre-order now and let you know as the extra options arrive in the new year.

The thinking behind Tillett seats

Tillett’s car seats come from years of making kart seats that are used with little or no padding. The idea is to give a car driver the direct feel of a kart, so you know what the chassis is doing.

Tillett also make their own mounting brackets and fitting equipment to work with their seats, including aluminium and steel side mount bracket systems, so the seat and its fittings can be matched.

Also new in the showroom

A carbon Tillett B6 XL Screamer has just come through our showroom. It is the wide, FIA approved version of the B6, and it has been quality checked and is ready to dispatch or collect. You can read about it in our B6 XL Screamer unboxing.
