The SW Motorsports Ford Fiesta Mk7 Direct Fit Subframe, part SWS-Ford-Fiesta-Mk7, fits the Mk7 Fiesta floor and accepts a Sparco-pattern bucket seat at the standard 345mm centre-to-centre spacing. Driver and passenger sides are sold separately.
The Mk7 Fiesta ran from 2008 to 2017 and covers the 1.6 ST, the ST180 and the ST200 versions, as well as the standard range. The ST180 and ST200 both use the same Mk7 platform floor, so this subframe covers the full ST run. The Fiesta Cup one-make series made the Mk7 ST one of the most common cars in UK club motorsport for the better part of a decade; the combination of low purchase price, simple mechanicals and a competitive one-make class kept it in active use throughout the Mk7’s production life.
The Mk7 floor is a clean redesign from the Mk6 and has its own distinct mounting point layout. The subframe for the Mk6 (SWS-Ford-Fiesta-Mk6) is not interchangeable with this listing; if your car is pre-2008, use the Mk6-specific part. For the Mk8 Fiesta from 2017 onwards, a separate subframe exists in the range.
The subframe removes the standard seat runners and bolts to the existing floor mounts. On a circuit car where the seat is the primary contact point between driver and chassis, removing runner flex makes a noticeable difference to driver feel, not just weight.
