A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Subaru WRX, second generation on the VB chassis, 2022 onwards. Part number SB401.

The current WRX, and one of the newest cars Planted make a bracket for. The previous VA generation takes SB206.

What is different about the VB

It sits on the Subaru Global Platform with a bigger 2.4 turbo flat four, and for the first time in a long while there is no STI version. Subaru have said the model is not returning in this generation, which makes the standard WRX the only one there is.

That matters practically: there is no factory bucket seat option to consider keeping, as there was on previous STIs. The standard seat is what you have.

Why a WRX gets seated

On loose surfaces the car moves under you constantly and the standard seat lets you move with it. Once a harness goes in that becomes the limiting factor, because the harness holds you to a seat that is itself shifting.

Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

We bring a batch over roughly every 3 to 5 weeks. Everything in each batch is pre-sold against a customer order, so the sooner your order is in, the sooner it ships.
