A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Subaru WRX and STI from 2015, and the XV Crosstrek fourth generation 2013 to 2017. Part number SB206.

Two quite different vehicles on one base part number, which follows from Subaru’s platform sharing. There is also an XV Crosstrek specific version under SB206-4935, so if you have the crossover rather than the WRX, check that listing too and send us the registration.

The VA WRX

This is the generation where the WRX finally stopped being an Impreza. Subaru split the model line, gave the WRX its own body and put the FA20 turbo in it, while the STI kept the older EJ257.

That matters when you are ordering: a 2015 WRX and a 2015 STI have different engines but the same floor, so both take this bracket.

Why a WRX gets seated

On loose surfaces the car moves under you constantly and the standard seat lets you move with it. Once a harness goes in that becomes the limiting factor.
