The Nascar range covers drivers competing in events where FIA approval is not required: autocross, drifting, hillclimb events run under non-FIA regulations, American oval series, off-road competition, and track days. The lever-latch buckle releases by pulling a lever on the front of the buckle rather than rotating a central disc, which some drivers prefer for its positive action and for applications where sustained vibration could gradually loosen a rotary mechanism.
At £140, the standard six-point 75mm Nascar is the steel-adjuster version. The Superlite version (21G606) is actually £2 cheaper at £138 despite having aluminium shoulder adjusters; this is a batch pricing difference and not a quality distinction. Unless there is a specific reason to want steel shoulder adjusters, the Superlite is the more cost-effective choice and is stocked in the same colour range. Both carry the same HANS Friendly approval and lever-latch buckle.
For classes requiring FIA 8853-2016 approval, the Magnum or Pro range is the correct product. The Nascar range does not carry FIA homologation. Ten colour options.
