The FHR Only variant of the TRS Nascar 6-point, requiring a Frontal Head Restraint device for use. FHR covers HANS devices and other approved alternatives such as the Hybrid and HANS Sport. This harness is designed to interface with the FHR shoulder anchors and is not approved without one fitted. Part number N6PTFHR.

Six-point, lever-latch buckle. Available in 50mm and 75mm strap widths. Standard steel adjusters throughout. Road and track approved when used with a HANS or FHR device. The FHR Only designation means the shoulder straps are configured to connect to the device anchor points, similarly to the HANS Specific FIA harnesses, but under the Nascar range rather than FIA 8853-2016 homologation.

The purpose of this harness is for a driver who uses a HANS or FHR device in competition where FIA harness approval is not required, but who wants a harness correctly configured for FHR use rather than adapting a HANS Friendly harness. Events where this applies include American oval racing, some off-road competition classes, and any event requiring an FHR device without requiring FIA harness homologation. The lever-latch buckle gives audible confirmation of release, which some drivers prefer in high-vibration applications.

At £155, this sits above the HANS Friendly Nascar 6-point 75mm Superlite (21G606, £138). The FHR Only configuration adds to the price because the shoulder strap design differs from the HANS Friendly version. Nine webbing colours. Not FIA approved; for FIA classes the Magnum or Pro range is the correct product.

Is this harness legal for competition?
This one carries Road and Track rather than current FIA homologation, so check your championship regulations before buying it for competition. For road and track day use, that is not a problem. Ask us if you are unsure which your events require.

What does the strap width mean for me?
This is a 50mm and 75mm harness. The shoulder width choice interacts with whether you run a HANS device, and our guide on 3 inch versus 2 inch harnesses explains which to pick and why.

Do I need a HANS-specific harness?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts, and not road harnesses, however good they are at their own job. This 6-point road and track belt is for use without a head and neck device; if you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA HANS-pattern belts in the range and we will spec the right one.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 6-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.

TRS produce in batches and we take deliveries weekly, and we hold large stocks of their most popular models. Most orders go out the same day.

Less common models and colours are a different matter, and can take up to a few weeks.
