OMP is the fitting frame for the Polo Mk5 (6R). Corbeau do not make a subframe for any generation of Polo, and Recaro are not producing frames at the moment. No Sparco frame currently exists for this generation, so a Sparco seat needs a side mount bracket on the OMP frame instead of a dedicated Sparco subframe.
OMP build a Bolt In roll cage titled specifically for the Polo Mk5. Other cage listings sometimes grouped with this car are actually cut for the Golf Mk5 and Mk6, a different model on a different floorpan, so they are not included here.

Three fitting frames
OMP confirm a direct fit frame for the Polo Mk5 (6R) at £135.92. It bolts to the factory floor mounting points. No Sparco frame currently exists for this generation, so a Sparco seat needs a Sparco FIA Steel Side Mount Bracket fitted to the OMP frame instead.

The Sparco Sprint at £252.00 and the Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 are the entry point. The Sparco Grid Q at £438.00 and the Mirco RTS-2 Velour at £418.80 sit around the Sparco Evo L QRT at £612.00. The Cobra Evolution RT GT at £729.00 and the Cobra Suzuka T GT RT Track at £577.00 sit toward the top, and the Recaro Pole Position FIA at £995.40 sits at the top of the range.

The Sparco R100 at £235 and the Auto Style Type RS6-II Vinyl at £333.60 are the entry point. The Sparco R500 Fabric at £328.99 and the Sparco R333 at £449.47 sit above them. The Recaro Sportster CS at £1,581.30 is the premium reclining option on this page, and the Corbeau Sportline RRB Black, Sportline RRS and SVR Vinyl pairs, from £996.00 to £1,020.00 work out at roughly half those figures per seat.

Our recommendationMatch the frame to the seat brand
With Corbeau and Recaro locked to their own seats and OMP the only frame that works more broadly, the choice comes down to which brand of seat you want. Cameron works out the fit and the best combination for a given car, so tell him your build and he will narrow the list.
Harnesses
There is no harness made specifically for the Polo Mk5, so you are fitting a universal belt and working out the mounting yourself. The standard rear seat belt mounts are not rated for harness shoulder strap loads, so the cage below, a bolt-in harness bar, or a fabricated anchor point is needed.
The Schroth Profi 3×2 at £444.01 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £245 are both FIA 8853-2016. The TRS Magnum 4 Point at £246.00 is FIA 8854-1998. All three carry a stamped expiry date regardless of wear. For a road or trackday car, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less, though none of those four are HANS compatible.

Roll cage
OMP build a Bolt In roll cage titled specifically for the Polo Mk5 at £1,856.71. Some other listings elsewhere are cut for the Golf Mk5 and Mk6, a different model on a different floorpan, so double-check any cage is titled for the Polo before ordering.
If competing, check the specification against your class regulations before ordering, and keep the sign-off paperwork with the logbook. Pad any tube within reach of a helmet, and tell your insurer, because a cage is a notifiable modification.

Which frame does the Polo Mk5 (6R) need?
The OMP frame at £135.92. Corbeau do not make a Polo subframe in any generation, and Recaro are not producing frames at present, so OMP is the route for this car whichever seat you choose.
Is there a Sparco frame for the 6R?
Not currently. Fit a Sparco FIA Steel Side Mount Bracket to the OMP frame instead for a Sparco or Cobra seat.
Does the Golf Mk5 roll cage fit the Polo Mk5?
No. That is a different model on a different floorpan. Use the OMP Bolt In cage, which is titled specifically for the Polo Mk5.
Which harness should I buy?
