As the newest Golf generation, the Mk8 has four confirmed fitting frames: M2, Corbeau, Recaro and Cobra. Sparco and OMP have not yet listed a frame specifically for this car, so their seats need a Sparco side mount bracket fitted to one of the four confirmed frames rather than a dedicated subframe of their own.
No roll cage currently appears in the catalogue for the Mk8. As the newest generation, this is expected while cage manufacturers catch up, and it is worth checking back or asking us directly if a cage is central to your build.

Four fitting frames
M2 confirm a direct fit frame for the Golf Mk8 at £166.20, Corbeau at £347.40, Recaro at £474.00 and Cobra at £255.00. All bolt to the factory floor mounting points. No Sparco or OMP frame is currently listed for this generation. If you want a Sparco or OMP seat, the route is a Sparco FIA Steel Side Mount Bracket fitted on top of the M2 or Cobra frame, which the bracket’s own listing confirms fits Sparco, OMP, Cobra and Sabelt side-mount seats.

With no dedicated Sparco or OMP frame yet, the choice comes down to which brand of seat you want and whether that means a side mount bracket on the M2 or Cobra frame. Cameron works out the fit and the best combination for a given car, so tell him your build and he will narrow the list.
Harnesses
There is no harness made specifically for the Golf Mk8, so you are fitting a universal belt and working out the mounting yourself. With no roll cage currently confirmed for this shell, a bolt-in harness bar or a fabricated anchor point is the usual route if a harness is genuinely needed.
The Schroth Profi 3×2 at £444.01 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £294.00 are both FIA 8853-2016. The TRS Magnum 4 Point at £246.00 is FIA 8854-1998. All three carry a stamped expiry date regardless of wear. For a road or trackday car, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less, though none of those four are HANS compatible.
