Toyota Celica 6th Gen bucket seat guide
T200, 1993 to 1999, GT and GT-Four ST205
The Celica ran across seven generations sharing almost nothing underneath, so a frame or cage made for one will not go near another. This is the T200 shape, 1993 to 1999, covering the naturally aspirated and turbo GT and the GT-Four ST205 in the same body. Three fitting options exist for this generation, split by trim rather than by year, so check which one matches your car before ordering.
Once the frame is settled, the seat and harness questions are the same as any FIA build: mounting type, size, and what the shoulder straps anchor to.

Three fitting options, one generation
Planted, and OMP with two separate part numbers, all confirm fitment for this generation. Planted SB162 is base mount and generic across the T200. OMP split theirs by trim: HC783 for the GT, HC783-6054 for the ST. All three bolt to the factory floor mounting points, and every bucket seat on this page is side mount, so a pair of side mounts on top of whichever frame you choose is the standard route.
If you are not sure which trim your car is, send us the registration. The frames are not interchangeable between the GT and ST split, in the same way the seventh generation that followed takes an entirely different part number again.

FIA competition bucket seats
Every seat here is side mount and needs the Sparco FIA steel brackets above, or an equivalent, added to whichever frame you have chosen. The Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 is the cheapest FIA shell on this page. The Cobra Suzuka T Pro-Fit at £673.20 covers a narrower 28in to 32in waist, worth knowing if you are on the slim side, and the Corbeau Sprint X System 1 at £690.00 and the Sparco Pro 2000 QRT Martini Racing at £660.00 sit at the top of the range.

Reclining sport seats
For a Celica doing road miles, a reclining seat fixes to the frame with no side mounts. Harnesses
There is no harness made specifically for this car, so you are fitting a universal belt and working out the mounting yourself. The standard rear seat belt mounts are not rated for harness shoulder strap loads, so a cage, a bolt-in harness bar, or a fabricated anchor point is needed.
The Schroth Profi 3×2 at £370 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £294.00 are both FIA 8853-2016. The TRS Magnum 4 Point at £139 is FIA 8854-1998. All three carry a stamped expiry date regardless of wear. For a road or trackday car, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less, though none of those four are HANS compatible.

Roll cages
Both Custom Cages and Safety Devices confirm cages specifically for the ST205 GT-Four. Custom Cages list a CDS multipoint kit at £1,311.00 and a T45 multipoint kit at £1,818.30. Safety Devices list a 16-point bolt-in cage at £938.40 and a rear-only version at £525.60 titled for the Celica GT-Four.
If competing, check the specification against your class regulations before ordering, and keep the sign-off paperwork with the logbook. Pad any tube within reach of a helmet, and tell your insurer, because a cage is a notifiable modification.

Which frame fits my 6th generation Celica?
Three options, and only one applies at a time. Planted SB162 at £185.50 is a generic base mount fit for the whole T200. OMP split theirs by trim: HC783 at £120.75 for the GT, HC783-6054 at £132.25 for the ST. Send us the registration if you are unsure which trim you have.
Is the ST frame the same as the GT frame?
No, they are different OMP part numbers for the same generation. Order on the trim rather than the model name alone.
Does the 7th generation Celica take the same frame?
No. Both Planted and OMP confirm their part numbers change at the generation boundary, so a 6th generation frame will not fit a 7th generation car and vice versa.
Is the roll cage the same as the earlier ST185 GT-Four?
No. Custom Cages and Safety Devices both list separate cages for the ST185 and the ST205, and the two are not interchangeable. This guide covers the ST205 kits specifically.
Which harness should I buy?
For FIA competition, the Schroth Profi 3×2 at £370 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £245.00 both meet 8853-2016, and the TRS Magnum 4 Point at £139 meets 8854-1998. For road and trackday use, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less but are not HANS compatible.
