The 307 does not get talked about as a seat upgrade car, but the number of them we fit each year suggests people have worked it out for themselves. The GTI gets driven hard, the Cup racing version proved the chassis could handle real lateral load, and even a standard 307 with a half-decent frame and a reclining sport seat sits differently enough to feel like a different car. The factory chairs are comfortable for the motorway and fine for the school run. On a B-road or at a track evening, they are not.
The 307 CC is a separate conversation. A reclining seat keeps the backrest adjustment the cabriolet needs, and the lower seating position some CC owners are after comes from the frame choice rather than the seat itself.

Your seat choice starts here. The frame is the vehicle-specific base that mounts where your factory seat used to sit, and it is what sets your final seating position. Which one you buy determines which seats can go on it, so this comes before the shortlist.
Part COB9JS73327, £231.66 inc VAT for the pair. Bolts to the factory floor points and takes Cobra recliners on a 291mm x 330mm base. One order covers both sides of the car.
Part 00499055, £87.00 inc VAT each side, listed for RHD driver and passenger separately. Takes Sparco and Corbeau recliners on a 345mm x 271mm base. Order twice for a pair.
Every reclining seat we sell bolts down through a base mount pattern, and there are only two that matter for the 307. Cobra recliners use 291mm x 330mm. Sparco recliners use 345mm x 271mm. They do not line up with each other, so a Cobra seat will not go onto a Sparco subframe or the other way round. The exception is Corbeau, who drill their recliners for both patterns, which is why the VLS Low Base and the RRS Elite appear in both columns below.
| Seat | Bolt pattern | Cobra subframe | Sparco subframe |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sparco R100 | 345 x 271 | No | Fits |
| Corbeau VLS Low Base | Both | Fits | Fits |
| Cobra Daytona | 291 x 330 | Fits | No |
| Cobra Le Mans | 291 x 330 | Fits | No |
| Corbeau RRS Elite | Both | Fits | Fits |
The R100 is the recliner we sell into more 307s than anything else, and the reason is straightforward. The Sparco subframe makes it one of the cheaper complete combinations here, the seat itself fits all waist sizes and drivers both over and under six foot, and there is no leg bolster to fight getting in and out of a three-door or lowering yourself into a 307 CC. The open flat base also suits the 307’s cabin width, where a deeper-bolstered seat can feel tight against the centre console. For a 307 that still does daily duties with a weekend B-road thrown in, this is where Cameron starts.
The VLS Low Base is the seat we point people at when they have not decided on the frame yet. It is drilled for both the Cobra 291mm and Sparco 345mm patterns, so it works on either subframe without compromise. The low base version is worth knowing in a 307 because it recovers a useful amount of headroom for drivers closer to six foot, or for anyone planning to wear a helmet. At £426.00 inc VAT it sits in a sensible middle bracket, and the cloth trim makes it a practical daily seat. The only caveat is the same as it is for every Corbeau base-mount: tell us which seat when you order and we will make sure the runners are matched correctly.
The Daytona is where the 307 GTI owner who does track evenings usually ends up. The shoulder and thigh bolsters are noticeably deeper than on the Sparco options, so once the car is moving your body stays put and you are steering rather than bracing. It goes on the Cobra subframe, which covers both seats in one order and keeps the frame cost simple. Cobra build the Daytona through their Signature system, which means you choose the trim: spacer fabric, vinyl or leather, in one colour or two, with optional heating or lumbar. If you want the bespoke look without speccing it yourself, the Tartan Edition pairs black vinyl outers with a tartan centre and is ready to order as it stands. The bolsters are deep, so for 307 owners at the wider end of the waist range, Cameron will sometimes suggest the Corbeau options instead.
The Le Mans is not a different category of seat to the Daytona; it is the Daytona with a taller backrest and a built-in headrest. That higher backrest is what most 307 owners who choose it are after: better head support on a long run, more shoulder containment when you are pushing on, and a seat that looks proportionally right in the 307’s cabin rather than finishing below the headrest guides. It comes in standard vinyl, the Carbon Edition with contrast stitching and a carbon-look shell, and the Heritage fabric trim. The Le Mans is also through the Cobra Signature system, so any of those trim options can be built to your spec. In terms of feel, if you liked the Daytona but wanted slightly more seat, this is that.
The RRS Elite is the most serious reclining seat on this list, and the one we point at 307 owners who have built the car properly and want the seating to match. Corbeau drill it for both bolt patterns, so it fits the Cobra or Sparco subframe without compromise. The Elite trim combines leather-effect side bolsters with a cloth centre, which holds its shape better than full leather on a hot track day and looks more finished than plain cloth. The sculpted RRS backrest is a shape Corbeau have refined over a long time, and it sits the 32 to 38 inch waist range well without pinching at the shoulders. If you are going for this seat and you are buying a pair, the Cobra subframe covers both sides in one order, which is worth knowing at this price level.
Both subframes bolt to the 307’s factory seat mounting points. Torque the floor bolts to the manufacturer spec and check seat belt buckle clearance before you drive, because a sport seat often sits the buckle at a different height. Between seat and subframe go the sliding runners, and their pattern must match the seat. Two things to know about ordering: the Sparco subframe is listed per side, so a pair of seats means two in the basket. The Cobra subframe listing covers both sides. Cobra runners are priced per seat.
| Your seat | Runners to order | Works on |
|---|---|---|
| Sparco R100 | Sparco Seat Sliding Runner Kit, £41.94 inc VAT each | Sparco subframe |
| Corbeau VLS Low Base | Corbeau Seat Sliding Runners, £58.80 inc VAT each | Cobra or Sparco subframe |
| Cobra Daytona or Le Mans | Cobra Premium Sliding Runners, £84.00 inc VAT each | Cobra subframe |
| Corbeau RRS Elite | Corbeau Seat Sliding Runners, £58.80 inc VAT each | Cobra or Sparco subframe |
Corbeau’s runner range includes different handle widths. The figure in the listing is handle width, not a bolt pattern measurement, so match by handle when you order. If you are not sure which to pick, tell us the seat and we will confirm before anything ships.

No. Both the Cobra and Sparco subframes bolt to the factory seat mounting points Peugeot already put in the floor. No drilling on a standard 307. Torque the floor bolts to spec and check seat belt buckle clearance before you drive.
No. Cobra recliners are drilled at 291mm x 330mm and Sparco recliners at 345mm x 271mm. The two patterns do not line up. The Corbeau VLS Low Base and the RRS Elite are the exception here: Corbeau drill both seats for both patterns, so they fit either subframe.
The Low Base version has a shallower seat pan, which drops your hip point lower in the car and recovers headroom. If you are under five foot nine and wearing no helmet, the standard VLS is fine. If you are near six foot or planning to use a helmet on track, ask us about the Low Base version.
It will fit, with a couple of things to check first. The CC's door openings are narrower than the hatch, so confirm the seat width against the door aperture before ordering. A reclining seat with a tilting backrest also suits the CC better than a fixed bucket, because you keep the adjustment you need to get in and out easily. Tell us the CC when you enquire and we will cross-check the seat dimensions.
If the car is primarily used for track days rather than the road, a fixed back saves weight and holds you harder. The tradeoff is daily comfort and the need for a harness or a belt extension in some cars. We have not yet published a full bucket seat guide for the 307; call us on 0115 9893488 and we can talk through both options for your spec.
For a 307 that still does the commute and the occasional track evening: the Sparco R100 on the Sparco subframe. It is the cheapest combination here that actually holds you in a corner, and the all-size waist rating means it is hard to pick wrong. For the 307 GTI owner who has committed to the car as a track tool: the Cobra Daytona on the Cobra subframe, which covers both seats in one order and puts a proper holding seat on either side. If the frame choice is still open, either of the Corbeaus keeps both routes available. And if you want the best seat on this list and the car warrants it, the RRS Elite on the Cobra subframe is the combination Cameron would put in his own 307 GTI.
If you are between two of these combinations, or not sure whether the seat will fit your specific spec, call us on 0115 9893488 and we will work it through before you spend anything.
