The chassis deserved better seats than the factory shipped with, and most owners who have put the car through anything beyond a Sunday drive know it. The lateral support softens with mileage, the upholstery wears unevenly along the bolster edge, and the driving position was a compromise rather than a deliberate choice.
What most owners want is a seat with proper side support for the kind of driving the Vantage was designed for. A good recliner does that without giving up the everyday comfort a GT car needs on longer runs. All five below bolt to the same Cobra subframe, which was engineered specifically for this chassis generation.
We stock one fitting frame for the 2005-to-2018 Vantage, built by Cobra specifically for this generation. It bolts to the factory mounting points rather than adapting a generic bracket, and it carries two bolt-pattern options in the same base. The wider slot, 405mm, was engineered around the Cobra Nogaro bucket and comes with 405mm sliders already fitted. For recliners, the 291mm slot is the route, and that is where every seat in this guide connects.

The Cobra subframe is built around the 291mm x 330mm pattern, which is what Cobra recliners use. Corbeau recliners are drilled for both 291mm and 345mm, so they sit on the 291mm slot directly. The Misano Anniversary is the seat Cameron would put in a Vantage without a second thought. The anniversary-spec backrest has a deeper shoulder section than the standard Misano, which holds the driver in the corners rather than relying on friction with a softening bolster. It arrives in trim options that suit the Vantage’s cabin rather than looking dropped in from a race car. Cobra’s hinge mechanism adjusts cleanly rather than ratcheting, which matters when the seat is going into a car that cost what this one cost. If the Vantage does regular circuit sessions, the shoulder depth makes a real difference over a flat-back alternative at this weight.
The Stuttgart Signature is the better answer for a Vantage that still covers serious road miles alongside the occasional circuit. The upright backrest shape suits long motorway runs more naturally than the Misano’s track-forward angle, and Signature spec means you choose the trim: spacer fabric, vinyl, leather, contrast stitching, heated lumbar if you want it. If you know how the car will be used in three years and want the seat built around that rather than whatever was in stock when you ordered, this is the one to spend time configuring. The RRS is the seat Corbeau built its road-recliner reputation on, and it keeps appearing across every cobra-frame guide we write because it does the job cleanly at this price. The sculpted backrest gives real shoulder and hip support, noticeably more than a flat-back seat of similar width. It is drilled for both 291mm and 345mm, so it sits on the Cobra frame without needing any adapter. Cameron’s read on the comparison with the Cobra options: the RRS is the one to look at if you want two brands across the pair rather than matching Cobras, or if the Corbeau price sits better in the budget than the Stuttgart.
The Daytona is where most people start with Cobra recliners, and on this frame it earns its place. The shoulder bolsters are shallower than the Stuttgart or the Misano, which suits drivers who want more lateral room or who move in and out of a low two-seater regularly at track days. It comes in cloth as standard and is the lightest of the three Cobra options in this guide. For a Vantage that does circuit evenings regularly and needs the seat honest at that job rather than doubled up as a touring seat, start here. The Misano is a step up in every direction, but the Daytona with the Cobra frame at this combined price is a coherent package.
The SVR is the seat to check first if headroom is a concern. The Vantage already positions the driver low, and the SVR’s lower base buys back the clearance a taller driver loses to the roofline when a standard-height seat goes in. The SVR backrest is smoother across the shoulders than the RRS: less sculpted, which some drivers prefer on longer runs. It is listed as a pair in vinyl, and at £510 each when bought as the pair it is the most cost-effective Corbeau option in this guide. If you are over six foot and the car covers regular road mileage, check your headroom with the SVR before committing to anything with a taller base.
The Cobra frame bolts to the Vantage’s factory mounting points; no drilling on a standard floor. It is priced per side, so a driver-and-passenger installation means two frames at £274.99 inc VAT each. The 405mm sliders come with the frame as standard, fitted for the Cobra Nogaro bucket configuration. Cobra and Corbeau recliners connect through the 291mm slot, and the runners between seat and frame are sold separately.
One thing to know about this particular frame: Cobra designed it specifically around the Nogaro, and they recommend telling us which seat you are fitting before you order if it is anything else. Each frame mounts one seat, driver side or passenger side. A two-seat installation needs two frames in the basket. Both sides are listed as product 230452; tell us at checkout which position you need if it is just one side, or add two if you are doing both.
If it were my money: the Misano Anniversary if the budget allows it. The shoulder depth suits a Vantage and the trim options let you match the interior without a custom order. The Stuttgart Signature if the car covers enough road miles that everyday comfort matters and you want to spec the seat to your setup rather than accept whatever is in stock. Between the Corbeaus, the RRS at £600.00 each is where I would start, and the SVR if you are over six foot and the factory seating position is already eating your headroom.
