These Sparco sub-frames (part 00499077) are designed to mount base-mount sport seats into the BMW E30 3-Series, fitting to the car’s original floor mounting points without drilling or fabrication. The E30 is one of the more enduring platforms in UK club motorsport, and a properly fitted sport seat is one of the first things that transforms the driving position for circuit or track day use.
Construction is steel, 345mm x 271mm bolt pattern. Despite the Sparco branding on the part number, these frames are not limited to Sparco seats. The Compatible Seats attribute confirms they work with base-mount seats from Sparco, OMP, and Corbeau. If you are fitting a Corbeau Pro-Sport, an OMP TRS, or any other seat at the standard base-mount pattern, these brackets will fit.
Before ordering, check the headroom in your car. The E30 shell is relatively low-roofed compared to modern hatchbacks, and depending on which sport seat you pair these with, headroom can be tight for taller drivers. The seat’s dimensions are worth checking against the E30’s interior clearances before committing.
These frames are for base-mount seats only. The Sparco R100, R333, and their OMP and Corbeau equivalents are all base-mount. If you are fitting a side-mount FIA competition bucket seat, that system uses dedicated side mounts (Sparco parts SS004902 or 004903) alongside a side-mount sub-frame, which is a different product to this one.
