The Sabelt Ultralight Formula 6 Point Harness, part number SABCCA622FRUN, is a bolt-in single-seater harness approved to FIA 8853-2016. Shoulder and lap webbing are both 2 inch. HANS specific. Available in black, blue and red.

Ultralight is Sabelt’s premium webbing grade. The webbing is thinner, lighter and more supple than Steel or Silver material; in a formula car cockpit this means the harness sits flatter against the seat when undone and adds less mass to the car compared to heavier webbing tiers.

HANS specific means the shoulder geometry and strap angles are configured specifically for use with a HANS device. This harness should be used with a HANS device; if you are running a series where HANS is mandatory, this meets that requirement. The strap routing differs from HANS friendly designs and the two should not be confused.

Bolt-in installation suits the typical single-seater cockpit where the shoulder straps anchor to fixed points in the monocoque behind the driver’s head.

At £248 this sits between the Lightweight Formula (£175) and the Ultralight Super Formula (£1,900). The Super Formula uses the same Ultralight webbing grade but with premium buckle hardware designed for top-level formula categories including Formula 2 and similar. If your series accepts any FIA 8853-2016 single-seater harness and you want Ultralight webbing without the Super Formula hardware cost, SABCCA622FRUN is the option.

How long does an FIA harness last?

Does it work with a HANS device?
Yes: only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device, and this belt qualifies. If you run a device, check whether you want the HANS-specific shoulder cut and ask us which suits your setup.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
