The Sabelt Lightweight Formula 6 Point Harness is a bolt-in 6-point formula harness approved to FIA 8853-2016. Shoulder and lap webbing are 2 inch. Bolt-in installation. HANS specific. Available in black, blue and red.

Lightweight indicates a webbing grade between standard Steel and Ultralight in Sabelt’s formula harness range. The exact webbing specification is lighter than a standard Steel formula harness but not at the Ultralight level used in the SABCCA622FRUN and Ultralight Super Formula.

HANS specific: the shoulder angles are configured for HANS device use. This harness should be used with a HANS device. This is the designation for single-seater series where HANS is mandatory. The Single Seater Formula 6 Point (172520, £175) is the HANS friendly alternative at the same price for series where HANS is recommended but not mandatory.

Both this harness and the Single Seater Formula are £175. The difference is HANS designation: HANS specific here versus HANS friendly on the basic version. Check your series technical regulations for the exact wording required.

Bolt-in installation suits single-seater monocoques with fixed rear attachment points.

The Ultralight Formula (SABCCA622FRUN, £248) is the step up to the Ultralight webbing tier with HANS specific designation for series where the lightest available formula harness is the target.

How long does an FIA harness last?

Does it work with a HANS device?
Yes: only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device, and this belt qualifies. If you run a device, check whether you want the HANS-specific shoulder cut and ask us which suits your setup.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
