The Steel Rally is Sabelt’s 2 inch 6-point saloon and rally harness with Steel series adjusters, made for drivers who run a HANS or other FHR device.

How long does an FIA harness last?
Every FIA harness carries a not-valid-after date on its label, and that date is what counts, not the purchase date. Our guide on how long FIA harnesses last explains the labelling, and buying new gets you the freshest date Sabelt currently produces.

Does it work with a HANS device?
Yes, and it is made for one. The 2 inch shoulder straps are made to sit on a HANS or other FHR device. FIA 8853-2016 approves 2 inch shoulder straps only for use with an FHR device. If you do not run a device, look at the 3 inch shoulder belts in the range, and our guide on 3 inch versus 2 inch harnesses explains the choice.

How long are the straps?
Sabelt’s standard measures are A 380 mm, B 1700 mm, C 560+120 mm, D 850 mm, lettered as on the drawing in the product gallery. Measure your seat and anchor points against them, and tell us if anything looks tight before you order.

Which shoulder pads fit?
This harness has 2 inch shoulder straps, so it takes 2 inch pads such as our TRS 2 inch harness shoulder pads. A pad that is narrower or wider than the strap slides or folds.

What are the Sabelt part numbers?
Red is CFCI4210S622SU2F, black is CFCI2210S622SU2F and blue is CFCI1210S622SU2F. Quote the full number if you are matching a harness you already have.

Does it come with eye bolts?
Yes. Eye bolts come with the harness. If your mounting points need backing plates, our TRS back plates are listed separately.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 6-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.

Sabelt seats: allow 10 to 14 days

Sabelt seats are sent out for your order and usually reach you 10 to 14 days after you order.

Sabelt harnesses: the colour matters

Harness lead times depend on the model and the colour. Some colours are made to order by Sabelt and take 3 to 4 weeks.

Ask us before you order and we will check the lead time for your exact model and colour.
