The Sabelt Silver Westfield/Kit Car 4 Point Harness, part number 118A433SD4F, is a 4-point competition harness approved to FIA 8854-1998. Shoulder and lap webbing are 3 inch. Aircraft-type buckle. Not HANS compatible. Available in bolt-in and clip-in installation. Available in black, blue and red.

Silver series hardware on a Westfield-specific geometry. The Westfield Seven and related kit cars have a chassis layout that places harness anchor points at specific positions; this harness is configured for that mounting geometry.

The two installation types reflect the common variation in Westfield rear chassis builds: some have fixed rear anchor points for bolt-in installation, others have a rear cross member better suited to clip-in. Confirm which fits your specific car before ordering.

FIA 8854-1998 is the 4-point standard. Check your class rules: some Westfield and kit car championships now require 6-point under FIA 8853-2016.

At £298 this is more than the Ultralight Westfield 4 Point (172575, £260). The Ultralight version uses a lighter webbing grade; the Silver version uses higher-quality hardware. They are different things: Ultralight refers to the webbing material, Silver to the hardware specification. Both carry FIA 8854-1998 approval. The Silver version costs more because Silver hardware is a higher quality tier; the Ultralight is lighter because the webbing itself is thinner.

How long does an FIA harness last?
Every FIA harness carries a not-valid-after date on its label, and that date is what the scrutineer checks, not the purchase date. Our guide on how long FIA harnesses last explains the labelling and when replacement is due, and buying new gets you the freshest date the maker currently produces.

What does the strap width mean for me?
This is a 3 inch shoulder to 3 inch lap harness. The shoulder width choice interacts with whether you run a HANS device, and our guide on 3 inch versus 2 inch harnesses explains which to pick and why.

Do I need a HANS-specific harness?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts, and not road harnesses, however good they are at their own job. This 4-point harness is for use without a head and neck device; if you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA HANS-pattern belts in the range and we will spec the right one.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 4-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
