The Sabelt Steel 4 Point Harness, part number 118S433SU4F, is a bolt-in saloon harness approved to FIA 8854-1998. Shoulder webbing is 3 inch and lap webbing is 3 inch. The buckle is a latch-release type. HANS friendly. Available in black, blue and red.
FIA 8854-1998 is the 4-point harness standard. Most current UK club racing regulations require a 6-point layout under FIA 8853-2016; check your class rules before ordering a 4-point. Where a 4-point is accepted or required, this is the entry-level Sabelt competition option.
Bolt-in installation means the shoulder straps anchor to fixed rear chassis points rather than threading around a bar. The strap angle from seat to anchor needs to be no more than 45 degrees from horizontal; getting that angle right is the most important part of a harness installation. Too steep an angle and the shoulder straps lose their restraining effect in a crash.
HANS friendly means the buckle and shoulder geometry are compatible with a HANS device but the harness is not specifically engineered around it. If your series mandates a HANS device with a harness rated as HANS specific, check whether this meets the regulation wording.
