The Opel Zafira-B is the second generation of the Zafira, built from 2005 to 2011 on the GM Delta platform it shared with the Astra H. The B retained the Zafira-A’s seven-seat FlexSpace floor but used a revised cabin structure and a new range of engines including the OPC 240 bhp turbocharged version. The OPC is the one most likely to see a Recaro seat fitted, though the sub-frame works across all B variants.

Part number 865416-1921 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the Zafira-B. It attaches to the factory floor fixing points used in the B generation and provides integrated fore-aft sliding adjustment. The Delta platform uses different floor geometry to the F-platform of the Zafira-A, which is why the -1921 suffix distinguishes this sub-frame from the 865416 that covers the A.

The Zafira OPC was a legitimate performance car, with 240 bhp, sport suspension, and genuine track-day ability. Fitting a Recaro seat in the Zafira OPC is a well-documented upgrade in the owners’ community, and the direct-fit sub-frame keeps the installation to Recaro’s own standard rather than an improvised universal mount.

This sub-frame fits Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted competition shells are not covered here. Pricing is for one frame, one seat. Contact us with your Recaro model when ordering.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
