The Nissan Almera is sold in two very different forms: the N15 and N16 hatchback and saloon (1995-2006), which is what this sub-frame covers, and the Almera Tino (2000-2006), which was an MPV on a completely different platform. The product title includes the note ‘Not Tino’ because the floor fixing positions in the Tino differ and this sub-frame does not fit it.
Part number 866816 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the Almera N15 and N16 (excluding the Tino). It attaches to the factory floor fixing positions without drilling and provides fore-aft sliding travel for the Recaro seat. The N15 and N16 shared a platform revision across their respective production runs, and Recaro produced a single sub-frame that covers both generations of the standard body.
The Almera SRi and the N16 SE were the sporting variants of an otherwise family-oriented range. Both have a reasonable amount of aftermarket support, and fitting a Recaro seat is a common upgrade for owners who push these cars at track days or on B-roads. The N15 in particular was used in club-level motorsport in the late 1990s.
This sub-frame works with Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. It does not fit side-mounted competition shells. Pricing is for one frame, one seat. Contact us with your Recaro model and confirm the Almera variant (N15 or N16, not Tino) before ordering.
