The Citroen Xantia is a large executive saloon and estate built from 1993 to 2001, most notable for its Hydractive III suspension: a self-levelling, speed-sensitive system that gave the Xantia a ride quality nothing from that era could match and handling that regularly surprised drivers expecting a comfortable but dull family car. The Xantia V6 Activa, with active roll elimination, is one of the most technically impressive production cars of the 1990s. Note that this base code is shared with the Citroen Xsara 4-door sub-frame (686619-1809), which uses a suffix to distinguish it. The Xantia frame uses the undated base code.
