The A70, the Mk3, and the first Supra Toyota built as its own car rather than as a Celica derivative. The A60 before it takes SB324 and the A80 after it takes SB023.
The 7M head gasket
Worth mentioning because it shapes who owns these. The 7M-GTE has a well known head gasket weakness from the factory torque specification, so most surviving A70s have either been sorted properly or swapped to a 1JZ or 2JZ. Either way, the ones still on the road have had money spent, which is why they are worth building further.
Values are following the Mk4 upwards
Slowly, but they are moving, and original interiors are getting hard to find. The bracket bolts to the factory mounting points so nothing is cut. Store the original seats somewhere dry.
Practical
Thirty five years old and Japanese. Get the carpet up and check the metal round the mounting points before you spend anything.
