A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, 2007 to 2014. Part number SB022.

This is the standard height version. Planted also make a tall version under SB022.1, and on an FJ that choice matters more than the seat does.

Which height you actually want

An FJ Cruiser has famously poor visibility: thick pillars, a small rear screen and a high bonnet. The view over that bonnet is a large part of how you place the vehicle off road, and a competition shell sits lower than the standard seat before any bracket is involved.

So the standard height is right if you are tall, if you wear a helmet, or if a cage or roof console is eating your headroom. The tall bracket is right if you want the commanding view back. Tell us your height and how the vehicle is used and we will recommend one honestly.

Trim before shell

If it goes through water and mud, ask us about neoprene rather than velour. Fabric absorbs everything and never recovers.
