Planted Technology seat brackets for the Scion FR-S, 2012 onwards. Part number SB161DR-FR-S.

Same car as the Toyota GT86 and the Subaru BRZ, built together at the same plant. Planted’s own listing covers all three and we break it out per badge, so this is the same bracket as the others.

A note for UK buyers

The FR-S badge was North American only and Toyota retired it in 2017 when Scion was wound up. A car here will wear a GT86 or BRZ badge, so those listings are the more natural place to order from, and the part is identical.

What the FR-S got that the others did not

Very little mechanically. Scion sold it at a lower price point with a simpler specification, which is why they turn up as project cars more often than the equivalent GT86.

Whichever badge, the standard seat lets you move once there is real cornering load, and headroom is tight in a helmet.

Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

We bring a batch over roughly every 3 to 5 weeks. Everything in each batch is pre-sold against a customer order, so the sooner your order is in, the sooner it ships.
