The BE and BH generation, and the one that gave us the B4 twin turbo saloon and the Blitzen editions. In Japan these were quick, well equipped cars and a great many of the good ones here are imports.
Which is worth saying before you order
Japanese market cars were specified differently from the ones sold here, including the seats. Send us the chassis number rather than the registration if the car is an import, and we will confirm the fitment properly.
Size works in your favour
A Legacy is a considerably bigger car inside than an Impreza. Shell width is not the constraint it is in the smaller car, so you have real freedom over the seat and you can take something wider and more comfortable without it fouling the tunnel or the door card. If you are tall, this is a car where you can be properly comfortable in a bucket.

This frame is made for the Subaru Legacy [3rd Generation] (1998-2003). Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
