The Z34. Shorter wheelbase than the 350Z it replaced, a bigger engine in the VQ37VHR, and a considerably stiffer body.
The Nismo seats
Worth raising before you spend anything. The 370Z Nismo came with Recaro seats and they are genuinely good, considerably better than the standard item. If yours is a Nismo, tell us what you are trying to achieve, because plenty of owners would do better keeping them and putting the money into belts and a bar.
Note also that a factory Recaro will not bolt to standard side mounts, because Recaro use their own arrangement.
Headroom is the usual reason
A 370Z has a low roofline and the standard seating position is higher than the car deserves. Put a helmet on and it becomes obvious immediately. Dropping into a shell on a proper bracket buys real room and improves how you sit relative to the wheel.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
