The C55 AMG
Mercedes put the 5.4 V8 into a C-Class body for this generation, which made the C55 a genuinely fast and rather understated saloon. The C32 before it was supercharged V6. Both are the versions people build.
The W203 is also a considerably better built car than the W202 it replaced, which suffered from the paint and corrosion problems of the mid nineties.
What the seat is for
The standard seat is built for comfort. On a C55 that becomes the limitation as soon as you use the engine, and once a harness goes in a seat that shifts under you undoes much of the point.
