The W201, and the reason anybody fits competition seats to one is the 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 Cosworth cars, which were built to homologate Mercedes for touring car racing and are now worth serious money. The Evo II is worth a great deal more than that.
Which changes the approach entirely
If yours is a Cosworth car, the installation needs to be reversible and documented. This bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut. Store the original seats and every fixing somewhere dry and label them, because on these cars an interior that can be put back exactly is worth real money.
An ordinary 190E is a different proposition: cheap, tough, and a sensible starting point for a club car.
