This listing carries no year range, and the Genesis Coupe ran from 2008 to 2016 with a substantial facelift in 2013 that changed the front end, the interior and the engines. We are adding the fitment data.

What the car is

Hyundai’s first serious attempt at a rear wheel drive coupe, and a far better one than anybody expected. The early cars had a 2.0 turbo four or a 3.8 V6; the facelift brought direct injection and considerably more power.

They are cheap now, rear wheel drive, and easy to work on, which makes them one of the better value drift and track starting points available. There is a real community around them.

What the seat swap is for

Once you are sideways you are steering with small fast inputs, and energy spent holding yourself in place is energy not spent driving. The standard seat is comfortable and offers little.
