Base mount rather than side mount

Which is the first thing to establish. These bolt to the underside of a seat rather than to its side faces. Most competition seats are side mounted, so check what your shell actually has before ordering: if it has no holes in the base, these will not fit it.

Side mounting generally gets you lower and gives more adjustment. Base mounting is what you use when the seat or the car demands it, or on a custom installation where you are making your own arrangement.

Not FIA approved

Stated plainly, because it decides whether you can use them. They are for bespoke and custom projects, clubman events and track days. If your car is scrutineered against FIA seat mounting requirements, these are not the answer and we will point you elsewhere.

The dimensions

450mm long, 55mm wide, 115mm high. Measure the space you have before ordering, because 115mm of height is a substantial amount to add under a seat.

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on OMP frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Availability

OMP deliveries arrive every two weeks

OMP produce in batches and we receive their products on a fortnightly basis, so their most popular seats, harnesses and equipment are generally available for quick dispatch.

Reclining sport seats and less common trims are brought in to order, so those take longer.

Tell us when you order and we will confirm the current lead time before you commit, rather than leaving you to find out afterwards.

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.

If you require fast delivery, please contact us in advance of ordering and we’ll happily check stock allocation and availability for you. We carry a large amount of stock at our showroom and across multiple distribution hubs. This allows us to provide immediate dispatch across a huge number of brands from Corbeau and Cobra through to Sparco and OMP. (Does not apply to all items)
