OMP multi hole steel side mounts, 400mm. Part number HC922.

Side mounts bolt to the sides of a competition bucket and carry it down to the sub-frame or the floor. Side mounting generally sits you lower than base mounting and gives you a say over the seat angle, which is the reason most people move to it.

The multiple holes are the point

With more than one hole position you can move the seat up or down and tip the backrest without cutting or drilling anything, so you can set the driving position properly rather than accepting whatever a single fixed hole gives you. Get it settled before you commit to harness mounting points, because moving the seat afterwards moves your shoulder line.

400mm is a long bracket. It suits a bigger shell and a car where the mounting points are well spread, and it is not what you want in a small hatchback where a shorter mount sits the seat better.

Steel

Steel is stiffer than alloy and heavier, and it is what competition regulations sometimes call for. If you are building to a rulebook, check the wording before you order alloy anywhere in the seat installation.

OMP produce in batches and we receive their products on a fortnightly basis, so their most popular seats, harnesses and equipment are generally available for quick dispatch.

Reclining sport seats and less common trims are brought in to order, so those take longer.
