Choosing the right side mount

Side mounts bolt to the side of a bucket seat and connect it to the fitting frame or floor. Side mounting a seat generally gets you lower than bottom mounting and gives you some choice over seat angle.

Check the bolt spacing on your seat shell before ordering. Mount both sides evenly, and make sure the bolts do not foul the seat shell or the harness slots.

We have been supplying motorsport kit since 2003, so if you are unsure between two options, ask.

OMP FIA Approved Side Mounts For HCT Evo VTR Fibreglass Seat questions

Will these fit my bucket seat?

Side mounts follow common bolt patterns, but shells vary between manufacturers. Send us the seat make and model and we will confirm before you order.

Do I still need a fitting frame?

Usually yes. Side mounts connect the seat to a frame or subframe, and the frame is what bolts to the car.

Can I adjust the seat angle?

Most side mounts give a small range of angle adjustment through multiple bolt holes. Check the holes match how you want to sit before drilling anything.

Will this fit my seat and car?
Mounting hardware is specific to the seat pattern and often the car, so match the product name to your exact seat, and tell us the car and seat model if you are in any doubt. Our guide on the bucket seat fitting stack shows where each part sits.

Do I still need a sliding runner?
Only if you want fore-and-aft adjustment: the runner sits between this hardware and the seat or floor depending on the stack. Our sliding runner guide explains the options and widths.

Availability

OMP deliveries arrive every two weeks

OMP produce in batches and we receive their products on a fortnightly basis, so their most popular seats, harnesses and equipment are generally available for quick dispatch.

Reclining sport seats and less common trims are brought in to order, so those take longer.

If you have a date

Tell us when you order and we will confirm the current lead time before you commit, rather than leaving you to find out afterwards.
