Direct fit sub-frames for the Ford Focus Mk1, from Corbeau, 245 per frame. Car-specific, and fixed through the seat mounting points the factory left in the floor.

Mk1, 1998 to 2004

The first Focus, including the RS of 2002 to 2003. The Mk2 that replaced it is a different floor and has its own frame at 289.50, and the ST 225 another. A 2004 car could be either generation, so go by the registration rather than the year. Two sets have gone from this listing.

An old Focus and a proper seat

A Mk1 Focus is cheap, handles well and gets used hard, which is why people put seats in them. The frame picks up the factory mounting points so the floor is not drilled, and it sits the seat at a height that suits it.

Corbeau seats only

Priced per frame with double locking runners included, and a frame takes one seat, so buy two for both sides. The frame is designed around Corbeau’s base-mounted seats, so a Sportline reclining seat or one of the Classic buckets. They are not made for side-mounted seats, on Corbeau’s own guidance; for a side-mount bucket, ask us about the correct mounting instead. Some kits are a whole new frame and some are runners and brackets for the base already in the car, which is why the photo is only representative.

What's included?

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#1. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner and resisitor kit
#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Bolt point tolerances:

Please note that OMP, Sparco and various other brands have a +/- 10mm tolerance on the bolt point locations on each of their sub-frames. This means that when installing the equipment into your vehicle, you may find that one or more of the bolt points may need extending for a perfect fit.

This is normal and, when installed by a skilled professional, it may only add five minutes to the total installation time. A prime example is the OMP Renault Clio MK3 frames and the BMW E46 frames as two bolt points need extending by 5mm in 75% of installations.

Drilling of frames and equipment may be required to complete your installation.

Matching seats and frames:

There are over half a dozen different bolt patterns in the industry for base mounted seats. There are over 30 different bolt patterns for side mounted seats. Aftermarket frames from different brands will have different bolt location points. 

Seats and frames are not a direct fit between brands. Seat frames are also not suitabled for OEM seats (Fitted into a vehicle from the factory) Please ensure to contact us for professional advice before purchasing your seat frames. We will be able to provide you a recommendation as to which seat frame is right for which seat.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Corbeau frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Availability

Corbeau seats are handcrafted here in the UK

FIA bucket seats are built to order, typically 3 to 7 days from the day you order. Kevlar and carbon shells take longer, so ask us if you are working to a date.

Reclining sport seats are also made to order in your chosen trim, and run to a similar timescale.

Seats built to a specification you have chosen are made for your order, so our special order terms apply once production has started.
