Getting into the back
The R52 is a convertible, and the front seats are how anyone reaches the rear. A fixed back bucket does not tip forward, so once it is fitted the back seats are effectively luggage space.
That is fine if the car is yours alone, and a real loss if it is not. If you want the support without giving that up, the reclining sport seats in the Cobra range fold forward in the normal way and fit this same frame.

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
