Customer Question: A Sparco R100 Package For An Abarth 595, Both Sides, Priced
Customer question, Abarth 595, Sparco R100 both sides
This came in as a properly specific enquiry, which makes it a pleasure to answer: Sparco R100 seats with the fitting kit, seat belt brackets and airbag resistors, both sides of an Abarth 595, priced as a package. Somebody has done their reading, down to the two small parts most people forget until the old seats are out.
The fitting side of an R100 in this car is three items a side: the seat, the Sparco frame that speaks to the 595’s floor, and the Sparco slider that goes between them. Here is the whole package priced line by line, the bolt-up order drawn out, and the four R100 trims to choose between.
- Three items a side: the R100 seat, the Sparco 595 frame, and the Sparco slider between them
- The whole package, both sides, is £1,071.58 including VAT
- The R100 comes in four trims: fabric, vinyl, Martini Racing, and Vinyl Diamond
- The belt bracket carries the original buckle, the resistor deals with the airbag lamp
- Everything bolts to the factory floor points, no drilling anywhere

How the three items bolt together
The stack in bolt-up order, one side of the car, not to scale. Frame to the floor first, slider onto the frame, seat onto the slider, and the two small electrical parts join at fitting time.
Read it bottom up. The Sparco frame is the car-specific layer: it is listed for the Fiat Abarth 595 by name and bolts to the factory floor points. The slider bolts to the frame’s 345mm x 271mm pattern and gives you the fore and aft travel a shared car needs. The R100’s base is drilled to that same pattern, so it bolts to the slider and the stack is complete. Three items, every interface made for the next one, and the whole thing comes back out with a spanner.
Pick your R100: four trims, same seat underneath
The package above is priced on the black fabric pair, which is the value route. The same seat comes in three other trims, all sold as singles so you can also mix, say, a Martini driver seat with a plain passenger. Fabric and vinyl singles are £282.00 a seat, the Martini Racing stripes are £349.99 a seat (£699.97 as a pair), and the Vinyl Diamond stitch is the dressy one at £636.84. Garreth’s steer: vinyl for a car that lives outside or gets wet kit in it, fabric for grip and comfort, and the Martini if the rest of the car has already committed to the look.

The two small parts everyone else forgets
The seat belt stalk bracket. On the 595 the seat belt buckle stalk mounts to the original seat frame, so it comes out of the car with the old seat. The bracket carries the original stalk onto the new mounting, which keeps the standard three point belt working exactly as before. One per side.
The airbag resistor. The 595’s front seats carry side airbags in their bolsters, and they leave the car with the seats. Unplug them and the car notices: the airbag warning lamp stays lit. The resistor wire plugs into the seat airbag connector and satisfies the circuit, so the lamp behaves. One per side, two minute job, and worth knowing that the side airbags themselves are gone with the original seats, which is a trade you make knowingly on any seat swap in this car. Keep the original seats in the loft and the car goes back to standard whenever you want.
Is the R100 the right seat for a 595? Honestly, yes
We already recommend this exact pairing in our Abarth 500 reclining seat guide, where the R100 on the Sparco subframe is the verdict for a road car on a budget. The R100 is a steel framed recliner listed for all heights and 32 to 38 inch waists across its two bands, so it fits real people, and because it reclines you keep the tip-forward practicality a tiny three door needs. It holds you far better than the factory seat without turning the school run into a track day, and the whole package lands just over four figures with every last washer accounted for.
Common questions
Does this package fit my Abarth 500 or 695 as well?
The frame in this package is listed for the Abarth 595 by name. The 500 and 695 sit on the same family of shell and we stock frames for them too, so tell us exactly which car and year and we will confirm the right frame before anything is picked. The rest of the package does not change.
Do I lose my seat belts?
No. The original three point belts and their buckles stay, which is what the stalk brackets are for. Once fitted, check the buckle falls to hand and does not trap against the seat frame before you torque everything down.
What happens to the side airbags?
They are built into the original seats, so they leave the car with them. The resistors keep the airbag warning lamp honest afterwards. Keep the original seats stored and the car returns to standard with a spanner.
Can I skip the sliders and bolt the seat straight to the frame?
The patterns line up, but you would give up all fore and aft adjustment and the seat position would be set forever by the holes you choose on day one. At £78.00 for both seats the sliders are the cheapest part of the package and the one you would miss most, which is why they are in it.
Will the R100 fit me?
It is listed for all heights with waist bands covering 32 to 38 inches, which is most drivers. If you are outside that, ring us before ordering and we will point you at the shell that actually fits, and the showroom has seats to sit in if you are near Nottingham.
One call does the whole thing: Cameron confirms the 595 frame against your exact car, takes your trim pick from the four above, and adds the brackets and resistors to the order at the prices in the table.
Where to go next
Ring 0115 9893488 and quote this page, and the whole package goes through as one order at £1,071.58. If you are still weighing seats for this shell, the Abarth 500 reclining guide compares the R100 against four alternatives, including the low base options this low roofline rewards.
