The wide band on the best selling shell

GT adds 30mm across, taking the waist to 36 to 38 inches against 32 to 36 on the standard Suzuka Tartan. Same shell, same approval, same cushioning; the difference is how much of you it holds.

The Suzuka case

Ultra low split cushioning drops your hip point and splits the support so the cushion works with your legs. Two stage leg cushion, integrated wear patches at the edges.

900mm tall, 590mm wide, 730mm deep on a 490mm base, at 9kg, which makes it the lightest of Cobra’s three competition shells.

Side mount only. Harness facility for 4, 5 and 6 point belts. HANS compatible. High tensile mounting bolts supplied. Three year warranty.

Choosing between the three shells

Cobra build three side mount competition shells and they differ where it matters, at the base and on the scales.

The Imola is 900mm tall on a 475mm base at 10.3kg, the narrowest base and so the snuggest lower hold. The Suzuka T is 900mm on a 490mm base at 9kg, the lightest of the three, and those extra 15mm mean a little less grip on your lower body. The Evolution is 935mm on a 500mm base at 12.2kg, the tallest and the widest based.

So it is a genuine choice rather than a ladder: snug and heavier, light and slightly looser, or tall and wide. Send us your height, your waist over your race kit, and the width between the sill and the tunnel, and we will tell you which one actually fits.

Will I fit in this seat?

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK

Each seat is built to the specification you choose, which is why the wait is what it is: on average around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the trim and options.

Cobra do not allow queue jumping. Orders are produced in the order they are received, so the earlier yours is placed the earlier it is built.

Made to your specification

Because each seat is made for your order rather than picked off a shelf, a made-to-specification seat cannot be cancelled once it is in production, and our special order terms apply.

Working to a date, or not sure which trim to pick? Ring us before you order. Getting the specification right at the start is far easier than changing it later.
