The 1964 to 1967 cars take SB158.

The 1970 SS 454 LS6

This is the generation with the car at the top of almost everybody’s muscle car list. Chevrolet rated the LS6 at 450 horsepower in 1970, which was the highest figure quoted for any production car that year, and values for a documented one are extraordinary.

Which means paperwork matters as much as condition. If yours is a genuine SS with documentation, treat the interior accordingly.

The bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut. Store the original seats and every fixing somewhere dry and label them. On a car at these values an interior that can be put back exactly is worth real money.

Repair panels are common on these. Get the carpet up and look properly before you spend anything.
