The early second generation, the split bumper cars, which are the ones people want. From 1974 the federal bumpers arrived and the shape changed for the worse.
The 1967 to 1969 cars take SB036.
Bigger inside than the first generation
Genuinely, and it matters here. The second generation Camaro is a wider car with more shoulder room, so shell width is less of a constraint than in a 1969 car and you have more choice over the seat. If you are broad, this is the easier Camaro to sit properly in.
Values are climbing but not there yet
Second generation cars were the cheap Camaro for a long time and the early ones are now moving. That makes a reversible installation worth having: the bracket bolts to the factory mounting points and nothing is cut.

Fifty years old and American. Repair panels are common. Get the carpet up and look before you spend.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
