The original specification for most classics
Fabric through the centre panels with vinyl around the edges and the bolsters. It is what the majority of cars of this era left the factory wearing, and it holds up because the split matches where a bench actually gets used.
People slide across a bench base getting in, particularly in a two door car where there is no other way to reach the back. That lateral movement is what wears the front edge and the outer bolsters. Vinyl there survives it; fabric in the middle keeps the bench from looking like a wipe clean surface.
Configuration
Cut for a solid bench: one backrest, one base. If your car has a folding rear seat, you want a split back version, which costs the same, or a fully split one, which costs a little more.
Check the car rather than the brochure. Split seats were commonly optional, and benches get swapped.
