The dearest option in the range, and why
On the headrests, armrest and door panels alcantara costs the same as leather. On the bench it costs more, and it is the only part of the range where that is true.
Worth knowing before you specify a full interior in it. The bench is where the price difference between an alcantara cabin and a leather one actually shows up.
What you get for it
Grip, which on a rear bench matters more than people expect. A passenger in the back has nothing to brace against in corners, and a leather bench lets them slide across it. Alcantara holds them where they are sitting.
It also stays cooler than leather under the rear screen, which is the hottest place in the car.
Be realistic about wear
Anyone getting into the back of a two door car slides across the base, and alcantara goes shiny where that happens repeatedly. Dogs will finish it in a season.
If the back seat gets real use, leather and alcantara puts the harder material on the bolsters and the front edge for the same money.
