The Toyota Land Cruiser 120 series ran from 2002 to 2009, covering both the GRJ and TRJ variants. Recaro developed sub-frame 869516 for that platform. The kit uses the Land Cruiser’s factory floor mounting positions and includes integrated runners, so the seat retains fore-aft adjustment in the same range as the original.
People fit Recaro seats into Land Cruisers mainly for long-distance comfort. The 120 series was a touring vehicle, and drivers covering serious mileage found the factory seats limiting around the four-hour mark. A Recaro Comfortline reclining seat on this frame addresses that directly. The direct-fit approach also keeps the seat at the correct height for the Land Cruiser’s seatbelt geometry, which a universal side mount with a spacer stack can compromise.
Price is per frame, per seat. For both sides, add this listing twice and select the seating position each time. Tell us which Recaro model you’re fitting at checkout so we can confirm the combination before the order goes out.
Recaro sub-frames accept Recaro seats only. Side-mount seats require separate adaption bars. Base-mount reclining sport seats and base-mount buckets fit directly.
